I’ve been hidden away in the editing cave for a while, working on some great weddings. I’ll be out soon to share some new frames. In the meantime, here’s a tree. Under 100 billion stars. Just because.
I love heading west, away from the lights of Sydney, where you can look up and see all those stars and nebulae and even some nearby dwarf galaxies. This is night sky as it’s supposed to be seen. Van Gogh was onto something with his masterpiece.
For the photo geeks: Canon 5D mark III, Canon EF 17-40 mm f/4 L USM lens at 17mm, f/5.6, ISO 800, 124 x 30 second frames combined. (I had 324 frames, but dew ruined the final 200. Time to invest in a dew heater!)
